Why Twitter Insight?
Many of the companies we work with know that Twitter is important, but have been struggling to measure how important. They also find it tough to identify the tweeters with the greatest influence over their technology buying audience. And this is where the Apollo Twitter Insight comes in.
We have identified the key influencers in the technology industry who drive and shape the debates on Twitter. Today, there are 5,500 of these.
There are services that count tweets. Uniquely our analysis goes further and measures the size and quality of the audience following the influencers. This is fundamental to understanding Twitter’s value. In total, the technology audience is over 1.7 million strong on Twitter and amongst these followers there are 115,000 identifiable C-class end-users. This is a powerful medium in anyone’s money.
But there’s a lot more to Twitter: when you realise that the majority of technology influencers are themselves active followers, it becomes clear just how essential Twitter is to building your brand.
What does this mean for you?
You can audit the significance of Twitter to you and your sector. We are frequently told that companies and agencies are spending a lot of time debating whether to spend time on Twitter: Apollo’s research enables you to make that judgement quickly.
Amidst the whirl of influencers on Twitter, you might wonder where to start. With Apollo you can focus your attention on the ones that really matter: those with the most impact on the space in which you compete.
We can assess the importance of the followers of your, and your competitors’, Twitter feeds and show you which influencers are following your competitors but not you. We can also tell you how influential those missing influencers are. It’s a great way to identify the tweeters you need to target to improve your profile on Twitter.
A
pollo’s Twitter Insight then tracks your share of influence so that you can measure – monthly, quarterly, annually, or as often as you like – your brand’s presence within Twitter.
Our Twitter Insight service was launched in April 2011 and judging from the response of our customers we know that our policy of concentrating on the most influential tweeters allows companies to allocate their precious PR or social media resources more effectively.
