What is an Influencer?
An influencer, for our purposes, is anyone who is able to exert influence on another person through their opinions. However, some influencers are more influential than others and Apollo concentrates on the most influential people in the technology industry.
We track those people whose opinions matter to their audience. They tend to be journalists, bloggers, commentators and technology analysts who are all able to shape views on a technology product, service or sector.
We don’t track company executives despite the fact that many are highly influential. They tend to be partisan about their own products and are very unlikely to mention, let alone promote, another company’s product or service.
Our primary focus is to help our customers to identify those influencers who are able to maximise the impact of their messages to their target audience and thereby maximising their return on investment.
